Report containing data about mailto: would be useful. These were just tracked along with other links, but were disabled since these are not http://, see this issue here: #2731.

We have to build new report which would provide useful information about such clicks. It could aggregate data of URLs containing e-mail addresses, like:

--email@my.domain
----url_it_was_clicked_on_1
----url_it_was_clicked_on_2
----etc
--another@email
----another_url_for_another_mail

Maybe we could also track time between pageload and moment when user clicked such a link? And then provide this as an average metric?

BTW: A basic feature could use CustomDimensions but you wouldn't get the time from page load to click for this unless you track it as well as a custom dimension manually

+1 to use Custom Dimension for this. For Custom Dimensions of scope action, the report will display, for any custom dimension value, the Url it was clicked on. One could, in JavaScript, detect clicks on mailto: and then track the values as a Custom dimension.
