When a website has no data tracked yet, we show a page inviting user to paste the code on their websites: https://github.com/piwik/piwik-ui-tests/blob/master/EmptySite_emptySiteDashboard.png #7365 #7170

Proposal: as soon as a user has then collected some data, we could maybe display a one-off notification with a message eg.

Congratulations! Data has been tracked in your Piwik. We hope you gain a lot of insights with your data. Happy analytics!

or something better...

About this notification:

  • All admin and super users see it once in one login session (and can close it)
  • Displayed once for each website after was tracked for this website
  • Designed to make user feel good and aware they have achieved something important (collecting data in a decentralised analytics platform is awesome!)
