The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) has reserved the
following three blocks of the IP address space for private internets:

10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255 (10/8 prefix)

172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255 (172.16/12 prefix)

192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255 (192.168/16 prefix)

piwik resolves 192.168.x.x as a USA country ip address.
i didn't check the other classes.

this is a problem for any admin that is working from his LAN. piwik should allow you to exclude ip by subnetting .but this is another request which i'm going to submit.

first it should ignore these addresses since they are not from the internet. and even if they are counted they should not be resolved or should resolved as "YOUR LOCAL ADDRESS"...

Piwik isn't resolving local IP numbers as USA. See http://piwik.org/faq/troubleshooting/#faq_65

Ignoring IP address ranges is part of #43 (Plugin to exclude the webmaster based on IP or IP range). However, this isn't as simple as it sounds, hence #567.
