Piwik not compatible w php 5.2.10? #841

It seems, that piwik has some troubles with php version 5.2.10.
We updated today 2 of our servers from php 5.2.0 to 5.2.10.

Now when i want to login into my piwik installation (0.4.1), these messages are visible (and nothing more!) - real website address is changed:

You need to update to 0.4.1.

The line number above (509) suggests you didn't update completely/successfully.

I had not updated anything.
Just wanted to login into my Piwik statistics (v.0.4.0).

A tip for the future: if there is a major release of php out and Piwik is NOT compatible with it, a short notice (via Piwik website, 1st page) or a notification via email would not that bad.

I am curious how Piwik will perform with php 5.3.0 .. or 6.x?
Did one of you ever tried one of these php versions?

mic, piwik IS compatible with the major release; a tip for the future: upgrade your version to the latest before submitting bug report.

Of course we would love to receive your help to ensure that Piwik works fine in 5.3 or 6.x, I don't think anyone does testing on new releases in the team. thanks

Sorry for that confusion - my fault!
But there are so many version numbers in my head (also here: 0.4.0, 0.4.1, 0.4.2).

I am using now the SVN-files (yesterday) - Piwik works now at it should.
When i am ready with the current project, i will make some tests with php 5.3.x and report here.
With 6.x i have to look - cannot guarantee that i will have time for.

btw: with Major Release do you mean the php release.
Only asking, because 5.3.0 is the current major release - or i am wrong?
