I would like to suggest the option to add the following configuration option:
ignoreDownloadExtensions()

Where one could add a list of extension that should be ignored from download link:
Specify file extensions to be ignored from downloads. Example: 'exe'. In case you are tracking a web service that uses 'exe' in the URL.
