The automatic updater is an awesome thing, but still can be tweaked:

On the first screen after starting the update, you get a number of lines with messages about which steps have been processed, and a button "Continue to Piwik".
Two things could be tweaked here:

With the messages, It's not initially clear if this is a list of things to-do, or things already done:
If i see this the first time, it could be a to-do, which will be checked gradually (this is how most install/update processes on desktop-and web-software works).
Maybe my server is slow, nothing done yet. Or maybe my server is super-fast, i did not see every line show up after completion.
RESOLUTION:
Clarify that all work is done, and the user can continue.
Add a green check sign in front of every line. (Is it also possible that errors show up on this screen instead of success- messages? What would happen then?)

The Continue- button might be renamed to just Continue, or to Continue to DB-Upgrade if an upgrade is needed.
(The button on the 2nd Screen is also unprecise, see #6033

It is probably the same code for updating plugins, some checkboxes would make the messages more intuitively recognizable as what they are.

better-style-update-progress

from the text, it's a bit more clear here (if i remember right the update pages).
