Event tracking is a very useful functionality of Piwik recently released. This feature is very powerful but not very well documented yet.

The goal of this ticket is to:

  • update the Javascript Tracking user guide to show examples of Event Tracking and integrate it well in the page. give example code for eg. video tracking or tracking menu clicks.
    • update the Event Tracking user guide to complete it with what events are, how and when to use them, the reports UI...
    • update the Actions > Events UI to link to the user guide. (maybe in the help box, or even in the report footer)

Users will then be able to learn about the power of Event Tracking and will know when to use it and how it will benefit.
