The current system only allows a complete login via URL, but not only setting the user name that way.
This would be handy sometimes.

Thanks for suggestion! I think it makes sense.

After making the change, maybe we can update this FAQ to mention the feature? http://piwik.org/faq/how-to/faq_30/

PS: I tried it but after 15min couldn't make it work unfortunately with quickform.
