I only know it just like that. Doesn't it work?

@craue if i click on forgot password i want to enter my mail address and get a new generated password.

Isn't that a de facto standard?

Otherwise it should be called change password...

This way you can choose the new password right away. I meant to say that I only know it like that from Piwik, at least it was the same with 2.3.0 already.

@craue piwik says there should be a field for username or mail: http://piwik.org/faq/how-to/faq_139/

This is what i get.

After submitting this form you'll get an e-mail with a confirmation URL. Seems fine for me, except that you could find out valid usernames/e-mail addresses with this. So there should always be a message like "If the user exists, you've got mail. If you didn't, try again later."

Works as intended.

Ok now i got it.

I was completely confused, because 99% of forgot password forms are like that: Enter your username or e-mail and u get a generated password or come to a form where u can change your password then.

That you really directly change the password is a bit uncommon.
