  • Piwik Version 2.3.0 to 2.4.0 Update. Updates never failed before
  • Error this time:
    SQLSTATE[28000] [1045] Access denied for user
  • Found "closed"(?) issue mysql password html encoded causing problems with special chars like & #690 and looked after the password in the config file: The "&" in the passowrd has been changed to &
  • Changed db user password from a password with "&" to a password without "&" on the webserver and in config/config.ini.php. After this, the installation process succesfully continued to /index.php?module=CoreUpdater&action=

This should work fine in 2.4.1 or upgrading to 2.4.1 (we fixed this bug)
