Piwik causes IE7 to hang #5649

Our website never finishes loading and appears to be hanging when the Javascript for Piwik is added. However, there are no problems in Firefox. It doesn’t seem to be a matter of a lag due to loading for the first time. When the Javascript is removed or ignored for IE7, our website loads fine.

Couldn’t reproduce the bug under Ie7, what is your computer power?

What specifically do you mean by ‘computer power’? My colleagues have also experienced this sort of ‘hanging’ of our application on their computers and have never experienced issues with it before adding Piwik. It runs fine in Firefox though. It seems like something is running infinitely for IE.

svandy, did you ever track this bug further? we have had a similar report, would like to look into it further

xurizaemon, I haven’t looked into this bug further. We’ve just turned off Piwik for now. Please let me know if you find a solution.
