Are you using the latest SVN version?

sth must be wrong with your current sources of Piwik

Explanation:
showInContext action is called only in Home module which loads other modules,
it seems that you called link like:
yourpiwikurl.com/index.php?module=Referers&action=showInContext&idSite=1&period=day&date=yesterday&moduleToLoad=Referers

but we do not generate such link:)

the proper url in this case is (module=Home instead of module=Referers):

yourpiwikurl.com/index.php?module=Home&action=showInContext&idSite=1&period=day&date=yesterday&moduleToLoad=Referers
