In doc there are some informations about the power Piwik needs to work fine:
https://piwik.org/docs/optimize/
e.g.

What sort of server performance do I need to run Piwik?
if your websites have less than 1,000 pages per day,
Piwik works on most hosting even the cheapest ones.
...

=> since there now can be lots of events on each tracked site,
this part may should have an information on the power needed for event tracking

Thanks for the suggestion! the page has been corrected, it now says "pages or events"

I also added a little link to event tracking guide
