We are currently introducing new ways to define Menus, Widgets, Tasks but we still stay backwards compatible. In those cases maybe for 3 months? We currently only have to leave a Piwik::postEvent statement (more or less) in the code to stay compatible.

With the next release we should maybe release a separate blog post introducing those changes or better: We should create pages on developer.piwik.org for this and/or link to existing pages on developer.piwik.org and link to them in the post. Right now there is for instance no documentation/guide/tutorial about scheduled tasks.

This ticket is about writing the blog post and the new API if not exists yet.
