I'm a big fan of the DevicesDetection plugin, although it's "only" in beta it seems to work fairly well.

An interesting use case for me was to make segments of mobile users so I can see how many orders and what kind of orders are generated through mobile devices. The overview page "Ecommerce & Goals" works fine with this segment, but the "Ecommerce log" usually shows no orders, or sometimes one order - although there should be 16 or more.

Other segments seem to work well with the ecommerce log - maybe this is a specific bug with the DevicesDetection plugin & the ecommerce log in specific? It does not matter what day I choose - the ecommerce log is always quite empty. Having one result only happened once, without an evident reason.

Thanks for the report. Can you please list one segment that works, and one that does not?

(to find the segment, select it in the list, then look in the URL for the &segment=XXX string)

A investigated a bit further, and many variables in the segments seem to be affected and therefore prevent the ecommerce log of showing the entries, for example:

  • Browser
  • Operating system
  • Resolution

It is difficult to test more variables, because there need to be orders for the given segment to actually test it.

The only segment which works for sure with the ecommerce log is "Visit ecommerce status at the end of the visit" (visitEcommerceStatus) set to "ordered", or using no segment.
