while browsing through the Counterize-ii plugin from Wordpress, I
noticed some referer from search.live.com which don't appear in Piwik.
So I decided to take a further look and discovered that there is no
entry (even for the whole year) for search.live.com in the "search
Does search.live.com appear in any Piwik stats?

If you're using the Piwik Wordpress plug-in, please contact the plugin author for support. Piwik should recognize search.live.com (see core/DataFiles/SearchEngines.php).

If you installed Piwik after Counterize-ii, please give Piwik some time to collect data. Piwik does not import data from, or share data with, Counterize-ii.

I just did a search from live.com for your site. If you don't see that in Today's stats, please re-open this ticket and send Piwik login information to hello (at) piwik.org.

I don't use the Wordpress Piwik plugin, I just use the counterize-ii plugin to have another visitor-tracking-system. Piwik runs separately on my server.

I see your search in the counterize-ii plugin, but not in Piwik.
What do you mean with login information? Did you ment log information?

I meant access to your piwik dashboard.

Are you getting any stats in Piwik?

Sorry I don't feel comfortable giving strangers access to my dashboard, so here is a link to a screenshot of the "search engines & keywords" section:

Piwik usually stores data and displays stats, yes. I even get stats of other search engies (for example Yahoo!) but not for live.com

From a search.live.com search result, does your page call the tracker? What did your web server access log show? ( GET piwik.php?.... )

In my setup, Piwik is getting the referer URL and keywords from search.live.com.

Yes, this is the text of the access.log of a live.com search: - - [03/Feb/2009:09:42:46 +0100] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 200 6778 "http://search.live.com/results.aspx?q=mp4-Video+90%C2%B0+drehen&go=&form=QBLH" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv: Gecko/2008120122 Firefox/3.0.5" - - [03/Feb/2009:09:42:48 +0100] "GET /piwik/piwik.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Fhihn.org%2F&action_name=&idsite=1&res=1280x800&h=9&m=42&s=45&fla=1&dir=1&qt=1&realp=0&pdf=1&wma=1&java=1&cookie=1&title=hihn.org&urlref=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.live.com%2Fresults.aspx%3Fq%3Dmp4-Video%2B90%25C2%25B0%2Bdrehen%26go%3D%26form%3DQBLH HTTP/1.1" 200 49 "https://hihn.org/" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv: Gecko/2008120122 Firefox/3.0.5"

The second line indicates that piwik.js logged the visit. When I curl'ed this on my server, Piwik parsed out the search engine referrer URL (and keywords) correctly. Other search engines are working for you, so that rules out the table being corrupt.

At present, my only suggestion is that you wait for the next Piwik snapshot release and consider upgrading at that time.
