i think it would be a great feature if transitions could be slightly more generic.

lets say that i have a hypothetical web page with dictionary entries in a subfolder

if i have a page structure like this

/index.html
/dict/a.html
/dict/b.html
/dict/c.html

it might be interesting to see transitions to and from any of /dict/*

as all pages in this subfolder could be considered dictionary entries, their combined interactions may represent something interesting as compared to just interacting with each page

This is a very nice feature request!

unfortunately, at this stage, it would have performance implications, as it would make the Transitions report slower to aggregate over all pages within a given directory. So I'm putting it in Feature request.

the transitions report doesn't do any archiving correct? so this would just be a slowdown at serve time when you click on an individual line of a page view report.

obviously it would be slower to do a like query than an exact match.
