I got several errors like that this night on different installations of version 2.2.2 running under debian 7:

'task,output CoreAdminHome.purgeOutdatedArchives,Time elapsed: 2.779s API.sendReport_1,ERROR: API returned an error: Trying to add two strings values in DataTable\Row::sumRowArray: '0%' + '50%' at Row.php:581

I got the same error. I too use Piwik version 2.2.2, but run Ubuntu 13.10. The error occured during runScheduledTasks and only happend once, last night. Haven't had any errors before with Piwik.

ERROR 23:36:31 [(...)] Got invalid response from API request: (...)/index.php?module=API&method=CoreAdminHome.runScheduledTasks&format=csv&convertToUnicode=0&token_auth=(...)&trigger=archivephp.
