Please try the Goal Tracking plugin. You can see conversion rate, revenue, for each country. if you have more precise specification of what you mean, then post it in a clear to understand ticket, thanks |
I meant chart with a curve for every country, best would be one with absolute and one with relative scale |
What would a relative scale be relative to? If in proportion to other countries, I don’t see the information value in a trend chart (e.g., sparkline). |
Well, I thought about it because most of my visitors come from germany at the moment. So I tried to give more relevant content for people from Austria an Switzerland. So I would like to see if I got are more visitors from this countries. While my visits are rising I would like to see if they are rising because of visitors from this countries or if it’s general. The solution to see it now is to go from day to day, or week to week and compare the chart with numbers from the severals month. But I have no chance to see the development. |
I understand that part. I was wondering if you had thought about the numbers. My opinion is that there’s no rationale to graph the trend on a relative scale. Let’s say you average 800 visitors per day from Germany, 100 from Austria, and 100 from Switzerland. Percentage-wise, these represent 80%, 10%, and 10% of your visitors by country. You make changes to your web site and/or marketing to boost your traffic. Now your numbers are: 900, 200, and 200, respectively. On an absolute scale, the trend is obvious, visitors from all countries are up. However, on a relative scale, your percentages change to 70%, 15%, and 15%, respectively. A drop from 80% to 70% does not mean German visitors is on the decline — on the contrary, it and overall traffic have both increased. |
yes sure, but you can see that the part from other countries grows so you have the time on the x and the percentage on the y something like this |
The merits of a relative scale aside, Open Flash Charts (1 & 2) doesn’t support stacked area charts. |
There’s also a dependency on ticket #397. |
see #534 |
Would like to have the possibility to track the development of visitors from certain countries. So I can see if my work for reaching users from a certain country works or not
