Hi,

I think I have found a bug, I have posted in the forum but nobody seems to have an answer. My forum post http://forum.piwik.org/read.php?2,113063

The email reports will just not send from my Piwik dashboard. I am using the latest release of piwik (2.1.0).

I have taken the following steps;

installed piwik on a subdomain of my host (analytics.mydomain.com)
uploaded all relevant files and created databases
configured and installed
website tracking is working perfectly and as expected
email reports wont send
i removed all files and re-uploaded in binary via ftp
repeated configuration steps - still email won't send

I have tried both the default php mail in piwik and the recommended Gmail settings found here http://piwik.org/faq/how-to/#faq_93

I receive an error message every time I try to 'send report now', error message is as follows;

An error occured while sending 'PDF Email Report - 3.2014-04-03.1.en.pdf' to info@mydomain.com. Error was 'Unable to send mail. '

If i use smtp settings the error message changes to;

An error occured while sending 'PDF Email Report - 3.2014-04-03.1.en.pdf' to info@mydomain.com. Error was 'Connection timed out'

Email config is correct on my host/domain as I am able to send emails from every other website on this host. I have also tried to setup a cron job as suggested here http://piwik.org/docs/setup-auto-archiving/#cpanel-how-to-set-up-the-cron-script-using-cpanel This also doesn't work, the archive file doesn't contain any info apart from the defaults.

I would really appreciate any help with this issue as I have a large client list.

Regards

J
