hi,

since i'm patching this on every new update and found it quite useful to see the location city without hoovering over the flag or so, i added a row in the template showing the location city provided by geoIP.
in addition to that i added a link to google-maps incl. showing long/lat position...

see patch attached to ticket...

sounds very interesting! Could you add a screenshot to have a look on it?

hi, i'm not working on #4274.
i didn't know that ticket... sorry.
i added the screenshot

you can see the link to google-maps in the left bottom corner, which opens new tab/window when klicking the city-name...

just noticed that (on a clean install) german translation breaks long/lat numbers...
i didn't have that issue on an install of 1.x which was continously updated until 2.0.2

seems that the number-format is translated to german, too.
this results in fomatting lat/long values to german dec_point = ',' which is correct in most cases, but it breaks long/lat-notation for passing it to google maps.

i fixed it in my new installation by formating long/lat through number_format() again before returning it. here's ne patch-file...
