One site for each Core Plugin

  1. take content automatically directly from the Plugin
    (the same which is used to show on the plugin magenment site in Piwik backend)
  • Name
  • latest version
  • (short) Description
  1. add:
  • a picture (1 picture tells more than 1001 word...)
  • an information where this function could be find: text plus/or picture
    e.g. Feedback: show where the feed back link is (on top)
  • an example how to use it / or a link to the availabe FAQ
    e.g. for new event plugin which code syntax has to be used to trigger an event
  1. link to this new plugin sites from the Plugin Managagement site in piwik (Plugin names in first columns actually links all to the same: piwik.org)

maybe this can be done via two steps:

first step:

  1. and 3) => fast results

second step:
2) => some manual work..

alternative proposal:

put all the informations from 2) directly in the plugin:

  • list of relevant FAQs
  • Images
  • example
  • where to find

=> so everything could be extracted automatically and could be used twice:

  • in the plugin management and
  • on the website

Thanks for suggestion. For core plugins we don't plan to document them further than their small description. if you have specific suggestion feel free, but i'll close this ticket as "too broad". cheers
