I am running Piwik on a server that has a strong Intrusion Protection System, and the system detected a "MySQL DELETE Heap Buffer Overflow" from Piwik.

On the websites error log, the first error that occurs is "MySQL server has gone away in ...piwik/core/Tracker/Db/Pdo/Mysql.php on line 159." and so Piwik has lost the connection to the database.

Is there a way to smooth out this kink or reconnect the database, or will this require a fresh install?

Also, is there a specific function/command of Piwik that could cause this type of error?
Keywords: mysql, server, buffer overflow

restart mysql. Such error however should not happen in Tracker. I am not aware of the "Intrusion Protection System". Maybe you could find out how to modify Piwik so it does not trigger this error, or if you need pro help for debugging get in touch at: http://piwik.org/consulting/#contact-consultant
