Piwik currently detects visitors from inside an iOS App (UIWebView) as Safari. This is not completely wrong, but there are some differences. And the UIWebView does not identify itself as Safari (see user agents on #3753).

For me it would be important to know, if a user comes from the browser (webapp) or the native app.

I see two possibilities:

  1. Add UIWebView as a new Browser
  2. Add UIWebView as a new Browser Version

What do you think?
Keywords: browser, ios, uiwebview

Generally, we prefer the forum be used for discussions and questions.

In the case of UIWebView, I don't know if the distinction between UIWebView and mobile Safari is significant enough (given the other project priorities).
