If browsing older dates very often it could be very helpful to have a today button or link that brings the calendar view to:

  • today in day view
  • this week in week view
  • this month in month view
  • from day untouchend and to day to today in range view

"duplicate" of #9094 (even though it was first, the latter seems to be the main issue now).
