The docs for Piwik state (in the screengrab at http://piwik.org/docs/requirements/) that the MySQL user should be created with GRANT OPTION.

Please could the docs be amended to state why this is necessary? It's not the kind of thing I like to hand out on my database servers without knowing what it's for…

Thank you for the report! This was a documentation mistake and has been fixed: http://piwik.org/docs/requirements/

please report other suggestions to the docs when you stumble upon them 👍
