Wordpress has a similar very useful feature. A DIV highlighgts various parts of the UI and explains the main areas. We already have a Piwik tour page on the website (you feedback welcome btw) -- but it would be very cool and nice for new users to be explained in 5/6 clicks the main things to know about Piwik.

This ticket aims to open the discussion and discuss the various text and features we should highlight and explain in such interactive tour! :)

From Peter:

I stumbled upon this neat jQuery Plugin: http://www.zurb.com/playground/jquery-joyride-feature-tour-plugin (licensed under MIT). Or can we find AngularJS module?

I think it could be great to use it for a short introduction of the Piwik UI.

What do you think about this feature?

What should the Tour look like for all new Piwik users (logging for the first time in piwik)?

Might also be a good idea re: marketing to provide a special interactive demo on demo.matomo.org that uses the demo data.
