It would be nice to have the ability to create more superusers, so every system administrator has his own account and we dont need to share the acount credentials with each other.
by design, only one super user. if you have other suggestions let us know
As per http://forum.piwik.org/read.php?3,18941,page=1#msg-97832 you plan to do that but need funding. So I suggest you leave this ticket open instead of wontfix.
We would like that feature too.
We have a plugin that can be used to set several super users. we shall publish it in a few months for piwik 2.
Now that Piwik 2.0 is released... can we see this plugin? Pretty please?
Seriously? sigh I was trying to avoid having to roll my own. Why are you holding onto this?
We are seriously waiting for this one. Please give it higher priority.
Or, if it still needs work, release it to the community, so that we can contribute. That's what open source is about. That software needs to be released from captivity. "Cease this affront to freedom, or stand and defend yourselves!" http://xkcd.com/344/
Actually we don't even have such plugin ourselves, I was wrong... This is still an "accepted" open feature request that we may implement in the future!
I have some good news! We will work on this as we agree it is very useful, and so many users have requested it.
The first step will be done in #4564 Introduce new User permission: Super Admin
Excellent! Thank you.
you are my hero(s)!
