The Matomo app shows the referrer in the real time log.

The browser version does not have this data.

The desktop version is of course the same.

Summary

Can we please add the referrer to the web version of Matomo.

Specifically, this happens for incoming links with ?mtm_campaign= query parameters. In the Android app, the referrer appears as from <campaign> - <domain>, which is great. There just isn't any referrer information in the web version, on mobile or desktop, if a campaign ID was passed.

If there's no campaign ID, then the Android app shows from <domain> and the web version shows Website: <domain>. So that case works just fine.

The campaign should actually be visible in the real time widget. I guess the reason why it isn't is not part of core.
The MarketingCampaignsReporting plugin seems to hide it here:

Oh, huh. Using Firefox developer tools, I can confirm that disabling the "display: none" rule associated with .visitorReferrer.campaign makes the information I want show up.

@sgiehl :

Hello,

I think the goal was to hide it on "Visits log" view as it is displayed another way (and twice when comment https://github.com/matomo-org/plugin-MarketingCampaignsReporting/blob/c3ef72423f2837e52731a1703490d972a6246fa2/stylesheets/styles.less#L1-L3) .

visits_log_view

But this also hide it in "Visits in real-time" view when https://github.com/matomo-org/plugin-MarketingCampaignsReporting/blob/c3ef72423f2837e52731a1703490d972a6246fa2/stylesheets/styles.less#L1-L3 is not commented.

Thanks,

Eric
