If you enter the settings page which is located at the top right.
You have to make sure an anonymous user exists in the database table "User" if you enter without it, it throws out an error code saying
"User 'anonymous' doesn't exist."

If you guys could fix this small error so that way, if for some reason you don't have that user. That, it can automatically add it for you. That way people with not as much experience don't have to access the database directly.

Anonymous user should be created by default for you. Wasn't it the case for you? Did you install 0.9.9 directly, or are you using an older version?

Did you use the official Piwik release or an install provided by your hosting provider?

Mine was installed using my hosting provider.
I was able to add the anonymous user my manually editing the database.

But, Piwik should have an automatic way to add anonymous if it does not exist.

Please send me an email (anthon at piwik dot org) identifying the hosting provider. I'll follow-up with them to get their installer fixed.
