I just wanted to use the transitions report and analyse the traffic and then noticed it's not really possible because of two problems:

image

  • The percentages are sum up to 100% for each category. Making it impossible to compare an individual outlink vs an internal page.
  • There are no absolute numbers shown either so I have no way of knowing how much traffic an individual item gets compared to another.

To make it more useful one of the 2 issues needs to be fixed.

Example:
You have a page where users have two options:

  • Download Matomo On-Premise
  • Go to WordPress Plugin Page to get Matomo for WordPress

Because one is an internal page, and the other one is an outlink, I can't compare the two unless I'm manually doing some math.
