When will Piwik be updated on apsstandard.org? I have the APS-Goldversion (0.5.4) installed over HostEurope and can't update it manually. This version is verry critical for use in germany.

Sorry, that isn't one of our distros. It's a remix. Assuming your file permissions are correct and your web server's php configuration allows for curl, allow_url_fopen=On, or opening outbound sockets, then you should be able to auto-update. Otherwise, you should probably contact Parallels for support.

Alternatively, I recommend installing an official Piwik distribution. The APS scripts don't appear to provide the same level of functionality.

Thanks for letting us know. I have advised Parallels and APSStandard.org to rename the remix per our trademark policy.

Parallels has asked that we take over the building of releases. Re-opening for review of the APS Standard packaging format and submission requirements.

(In [3468]) fixes #1901, refs #1592 - we can't use mock objects because of static method calls, so the wrappers around Zend_Session and Zend_Session_Namespace dummy initialize when executing from php-cli or headless php-cgi; this also addresses the hack by Parallels in their APS scripts

Do we still want to do this? is there any pending task? Not sure if this is popular at all.
The page on their site is http://www.apsstandard.org/app/#pkg_vendor=piwik.org&pkg_name=Piwik&pkg_ver=1.1.1&pkg_rel=1 and is 1.1.1 so obviously they don't really care about staying up to date.

This is currently blocking on #1586.

I think we may want to do this because Parallels doesn't stay up to date.

Their latest release is 1.1.

I have requested access to their dev sandbox and certification system.

I'd like to see if we can simply refresh their 1.1.1 package with minimal effort/testing as it'll be more work to update it from APS 1.0 to APS 1.2, or either their silver/gold levels.

would there be any way of them helping us with testing and/or development maybe? If we initiate contact, they could maybe help with marketing the Piwik package to their customers, or help maintain future versions...
Cheers for looking into this anyway, it's always nice to show the best of Piwik, its latest version, to any kind of new user!

Piwik seems to be listed there, but appears with publisher "glowtouch" which looks dodgy. http://www.apsstandard.org/applications#searchterm=piwik&product=Piwik%20-%201.10.1-4&vendor=piwik.org&name=Piwik
