In the past few months the size of my piwik_archive_blob files has become astronomical, leading to the server running out of disk space. What in the world could be the reason for this and how do I fix it?

I notice that it's basically the same issue with these files:

Did you maybe start using segmentation bit more than before?
If you have shell access to the server, maybe running ./console core:purge-old-archive-data would help

I didn't change anything with segmentation and running that command didn't seem to reduce the size of the files at all. :(

I'll close this one in favor of #10439

maybe also check out #13685 where a user fixed the problem by changing the innodb_log_file_size = 128M setting see #13685 (comment)
