The Page Titles widget display a tree when the title of the page contains the character "/".

Problem: Page Titles widget show titles that contains "/" character like a tree

For example this page: http://www.teamoff.org/tf2/tf2-e-css-beta-update-27052010/
Has the tile: TF2 e CSS Beta Update 27/05/2010

And Piwik shows

  • TF2 e CSS Beta Update 27
    • 05
      • 2010

Feature request: enable/disable the categorization of page titles by directory/pages in the user settings.

This is Piwik's categories feature -- it isn't a bug.

You can change the delimeter character. See global.ini.php.

I'll reopen and change as a feature request to disable tree display when / character is present. This makes sense for page titles because they are not URLs therefore a / character can be found. We should only create directories and pages in Piwik reports when the user specifically asked for in a User Settings.

Do not delete this feature ! This is the only way to track flash/javascript events & navigation.

we could provide a JS helper function that would replace the slashes in page titles by some other characters, but this doesn't feel right.

I guess a good FAQ would be better than a new setting for this. I updated the related FAQ: http://piwik.org/faq/how-to/#faq_62
