It occurred to me that some goals can be defined by segments, eg "download URL == ..." (or even the normal ones "page URL contains ..."). It might be useful to be able to define "virtual goals" whose conversion criteria comes from a segment, then have a command or UI feature to re-attribute conversions for those goals. Would allow being able to change goal definitions and allow users to define all sorts of goals.
Sounds good. There might be couple problems though. For example you can't know the region or refer, campaign, custom variables/dimensions, device, etc they had the time this goal happened. You would only know the values from the end of the visit (we copy most of the current values from log_visit into log_conversion). And you can't really evaluate the segment on each request.
It's more like you could just create a custom report based on the segment and have almost the same.
