Can you check your PHP error_log and the JavaScript console of your browser when you are seeing the empty page?

I've tried some things now. I tested everything again on a subdomain. If I try it there, the upgrade goes through and everything works fine.

If I then try the upgrade on my live domain, I don't get to see the content.

If I now copy the working matomo with database from my subdomain to my normal domain, I get the picture in the screenshot again. If I look into the console, I get 500 errors. But the user rights are the same as on the working subdomain.

What have I done wrong?

I have some new information about my problem. The apache error.log shows me the following error:

So, now I have commented out the AddHandler section of /libs/.htaccess and it seems it solves the problem. But why is there a problem? On my test environment the page and the update runs normally with the Addhandler part. Both sides are on the same server and have the same apache modules.

Sorry I can't really help you there. Maybe someone else with apache knowledge knows more what is wrong with out htacess. I suppose this here seems to cause the problem: e3139a3

Any chance you installed Matomo many years ago?
