I'm tracking funnels through events (event action - product name, event name - funnel steps)

Since all of my event names are common (step 1 , step 2, and step 3) and event actions are unique (product name), i can convert the report into flat to concatenate the event actions with name.

I would like to set goals with the same format. Setting a goal where event action & event name is PRODUCT NAME - Step3. Would it be possible to do so?

No, you can either set matching event name, event action or event category to trigger a goal. But you can manually trigger a goal on your page when certain pre-conditions are given.
