Update creates matomo folder inside piwik root #12435

Es wurden unerwartete Verzeichnisse in deiner Matomo-Installation gefunden.
--> Bitte lösche diese Verzeichnisse, um Fehler zu vermeiden. <--

Zu löschendes Verzeichnis: matomo


Um alle diese Verzeichnisse auf einmal zu löschen, kannst du folgenden Befehl ausführen:
rm -Rf /var/www/piwik/matomo

 Piwik-Version: 3.3.0-rc2
MySQL-Version: 5.5.54
PHP-Version: 7.0.18-1+deb.sury.org~precise+1

I'm pretty sure this folder got created with the update.

The problem is even worse...

The version in the matomo folder is 3.3.0-rc3, but the version in the real root is 3.3.0-rc2 and I can not update it, because it is installing into the matomo folder.

I checked the zip version (https://builds.piwik.org/piwik.zip) and it has the same problem. rc2 in piwik folder and rc3 in matomo subfolder.

I now copied the content of the matomo subfolder into my piwik root and can no longer access the admin panel. I'm going back to 3.2.1 now, please fix this mess.

Thank you @fdellwing for reporting the issue with our build! i've fixed it and re-uploaded the builds.

-> For all people who have upgraded in the last hour or so, you will need to delete this extra directory matomo from your server, as will be pointed out by the file integrity checker.
