An URL shortener to make your custom URL's.

I found this project: http://yourls.org
and I think should be a good idea for a new feature or plugin in piwik.

For example, I really interested in it because the mega.nz links, that I using in my podcast project, don't have the real name of my external file (they are encrypted links), so actually I don't know wich podcast my visitors download (#6244).

we could have a URL shortener plugin which could let user generate a short url, and would also measure the clicks and show reports on how links were clicked, which referrers, etc.

I am looking for a url shortener rotating the redirection to 2 or more URLs to achieve A/B testing or load balancing. Prices are above 15$/month for the main service providers, I'd love to have this as a feature to my matomo instance or pay the same fee for a plugin to Matomo.

Just FYI our A/B testing plugin lets you configure A/B tests with redirects https://plugins.matomo.org/AbTesting

Thanks alot @tsteur! I knew about the plugin but not about the redirections. That saves me the fees from the other services+the fee for a facebook pixel (so bad for user privacy!), I won't hesitate to continue the free trial ;)
