Here is a list of possible enhancements for the upgrade process

  • do not show/prompt for the upgrade on the web interface (the button at the bottom)
  • promptly invite the user to perform a database backup before the upgrade or request if this has been done already
  • show errors and warnings in appropriate colours
  • do not display Piwik has been successfully updated! if there was an error or a warning
